Zemic Europe (Netherlands) has introduced a CANopen version of the Top-Sensors T1 weight transmitter. The instrument works as a slave in a CANopen network.
THE WEIGHT TRANSMITTER AND INDICATOR comes with Omega/Din rail mounting, suitable for back panels. It has a space-saving, vertical shape with dimensions of 25 mm x 115 mm x 120 mm. The transmitter offers a six-digit, semi-alphanumeric display and 7-segment LED. It comes with an EIA-485 serial port. The transmitter’s CANopen port has a bit-rate up to 1 Mbit/s and offers addresses from 1 to 99. The product has a working temperature range between -20 °C and 60 °C, but CE-M approved range is only from -10 °C to 40 °C.
The CANopen slave port allows to exchange the main system parameters with a CANopen master. A problem in the CANopen communication is marked by a lack of flashing or a slow flashing (flashing duration about 0,5 s) of the CANopen status LED.
The LED blinks quickly when CANopen is operational and slowly (also about 0,5 s) when preoperational. When the LED is lighted, the system is booted, when the LED is off, the system has stopped.
