Pressure sensor

App reads pressures of 150 bar

Version 01.12 of the Ipemotion plugin Ipetronik-CAN supports the 150-bar CANpressure sensor. The sensor is a 1-channel pressure sensor with integrated acquisition electronics including a CAN controller.

CANPRESSURE IS A PRESSURE SENSOR with CAN output for relative or absolute pressure measurements with synchronous data acquisition up to 2 kHz sampling rate. The temperature is additionally acquired with a PT1000 directly at the piezoelectric element. CO2 climate systems have particularly high system pressures in their coolant circuits. The 150-bar measuring range provides coverage of these high pressures. Due to their compact design, extended temperature range, and CAN output, these sensors are suitable for use on stationary test beds as well as on mobile test objects to measure pressures in coolant circuits. Their working temperature ranges from -40 °C to 125 °C, the storage temperature even from -55 °C to 150 °C. The sensors measure 76 mm x 24 mm and weigh 120 g. The relative gauge has an IP52 protection level, the absolute gauge IP65.

The acquired pressure, as well as the temperature of the pressure tap are directly output as a CAN signal. The CAN output of the sensors has a selectable data transfer rate up to 1 Mbit/s. The CAN port comes with galvanic isolation against the power supply.

The sensor can be used for almost all media (including brake fluids and fuels). Restrictions are to be tested in particular cases before using very aggressive media like acids or high pressures and/or media temperatures. The calibration function with a broadcast command (Ipehotkey) allows the offset adjustment during a running acquisition to a user defined target value (reference value).
