Two axis
FSG (Germany) has developed a tilt angle sensor based on MEMS technology (micro-electromechanical measuring systems). It monitors the inclination of construction machinery in rugged environments.
THE PE-MEMS GS66 SENSOR SERIES is equipped with an additional gyroscope to compensate linear accelerations and mechanical shock, making them suitable for measuring tilt angles on e.g. ship platforms, working platforms, or oil rigs. The redundant devices gauge x-axis and y-axis angles in a measuring range of ±30°. They achieve accuracies between ±0,08° and ±0,2° for angle ranges between 5° and 15°. Their passivated aluminum housings ensure IP67 ingress protection. The sensors tolerate temperatures between -40 °C and +70 °C and meet technical safety requirements according to the IEC 61508 (SIL 2) and EN 13849 (PLd) standards. A CAN interface can be used with the CANopen or CANopen safety protocol for signal output.
