In recent years, Hydac has systematically developed its sensor portfolio. It focuses on the realization of sensors meeting the increased requirements regarding functional safety. The HAT 1000 and HAT 3000 sensors magnetically measure the angle of rotation by means of a robust and contactless measuring method. The HAT 1000 is a single turn rotation transducer with a resolution of 14 bit. For applications with higher requirements the HAT 3000 with a 18 bit resolution is offered. Measuring values are transmitted via a CANopen Safety (EN 50325-5) interface.

The sensors come in a stainless steel housing and meet the safety requirements according to SIL2 (IEC 61508) and PL d (ISO 13849). Therefore they are suitable for a range of applications in mobile working machines and especially for applications with increased safety requirements. The products are IP69K-rated and provide a measuring range from 0° to 360° in continuous rotation.
