Inclinometer

Single- and dual-axis in various housings

Sick (Germany) has introduced the TMS/TMM series of CANopen connectable inclinometers. They feature an accuracy of up to ±0,02 %.

The TMS88 one-dimensional inclination sensor and the TMM88 two-dimensional inclination sensor provide a measuring range of 360° respectively ±90°. The products are available in UV-resistant plastic housings and in rugged aluminum housings. The CANopen interface complies with CiA 301 and CiA 410 (version 4.2.0). Additionally, the interface supports LSS (layer setting services) as specified in CiA 305. LSS is used for assigning node-IDs; bit-rates are detected automatically. CANopen status is indicated by LEDs.

With the PGT-12-Pro tool the user can configure for example zero-set, limit frequency, preset value, and inverting of counting direction. The products are able to run 1 Mbit/s CAN bit-rates. They don’t provide internal termination resistors.
