The KHC pressure transmitters from Gefran are based on film sensing elements deposited on stainless steel diaphragms. The sensors use the CiA 404 protocol.
The KHC pressure transmitter comes with SMD (surface-mount technology) electronics, stainless steel construction, and is especially suitable for mobile hydraulics applications. The KHC series is resistant to extreme environmental conditions and comes with a digital CANopen output for mobile hydraulics (CiA 404 for measuring devices and closed-loop controllers). The sensors were developed for applications such as agricultural machines, construction machines, and material handling equipment. In addition to the pressure measurement, the digital signal also contains the data related to the temperature of the device.
The instrument is delivered preconfigured and ready to be used without any further effort, says the company. Custom configurations are also possible, to be specified on order, or programmable by the user. The transmitter provides an operating temperature of -40 °C to +125 °C, is IP67- and IP69-rated, and operates with a power supply of 8 VDC to 32 VDC.
