“Time is money for fleet operators. We understand they don’t have time to look at pages and pages of data,” explained the Swiss supplier. “That is why we have integrated the data capture with our new Wi-iQ report suite software, which interprets and presents the data into several easy-to-understand reports both at combined fleet level or in more detail at single battery level.” The data monitor can also become an active part of a Fleet Management system both through a CAN network or though the Cloud Gateway system offered by Enersys. More than 2 million Enersys batteries are currently in operation.

The data monitoring device can communicate with the charger, forklift, or other external devices. It is installed onto the harness of the battery. It communicates via Bluetooth to remote battery sensors providing a data collection system. The sensors provide continuous wireless data stream (wired versions are also available) that is processed and stored by the Wi-iQ3. With the optional Truck iQ device, this data is now presented in much the same way as looking at your smart phone. The solution shows real-time data to the operator about battery status, alarms, and remaining working time. The optional CAN interface outputs the signals and forwards them for example to the vehicle cabin.

The Swiss company, market-leading in stored energy solutions for industrial applications, manufactures and distributes reserve power and motive power batteries, battery chargers, power equipment, battery accessories, and outdoor equipment enclosure solutions.
