Linear transducer
The TM1 series of position sensors by Novotechnik provide CANopen or J1939 interface options. They are dedicated for the pressure range of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.
Novotechnik exhibited on the SPS 2019 tradeshow in Nuremberg (Germany) its TM1 linear transducers. They measure position and speed of cylinders mounted on mobile machinery. The IP69K-rated products comply with EN 13309 (constructions machines) and ISO 14982 (agriculture and forestry machinery). The measured position and speed are communicated via CANopen or J1939 interfaces.
Novotechnik U.S. introduces the TM1 Series of magnetostrictive linear hydraulic and pneumatic position sensors with compact housing. A magnetic ring-shaped marker is affixed to your application’s moving cylinder and moves up and down the TM1 rod without contact.
The stroke length ranges from 50 mm to 2000 mm in 25-mm steps. The operating pressure is up to 350 bar with peaks to 450 bar. Both plug-in and screw type flange models are available. Other include include absolute linearity of ≤0,04 % and repeatability of ≤ ±0,1 mm. The sensors withstand 100-g shocks and 20-g vibrations. The operating temperature ranges from -40 °C to +105 °C. Position markers are available as ring-shaped or for one-sided mounting in U-shaped versions. Level measurements are also possible with a magnetic floating position marker.
