The products of the DSP (Digital Pressure Sensor) family by Honeywell (USA) are configurable by means of the CANopen interface. The sensors have been CANopen conformance tested by CiA.
IN MAY, THE US COMPANY PRESENTED its pressure sensors at the Sensor + Test Measurement Fair in Nuremberg (Germany). The CANopen products are designed for harsh environments. They come in an IP65-rated stainless steel enclosure. Customers have the choice from multiple pressure types, accuracy levels, pressure ranges, pressure connections, and electrical terminations to meet specific application needs. Configurations for digital measurements are temperature-compensated and calibrated for pressure ranges from 70 kPa to 70000 kPa, with accuracy ranges of 0,25 % and 0,1 %. The operating and storage temperature ranges from -25 °C to 85 °C.
The pressure sensors are intended for a broad range of applications. This includes construction machines, locomotives, and automotive test benches. They are also suitable for medical devices and general industrial equipment. The CANopen interface is realized by means of a 5-pin M12 connector (for industrial purposes) or a 6-pin Bendix connector (for transportation applications).
