Port (Germany) has released version 4.5 of its CANopen stack, which is prepared for CAN FD. The CANopen extension module CiA 305 is now included in the library. In addition, the storing of the object directory was simplified.
THE CANOPEN LIBRARY 4.5 and the CANopen Design Tool 2.3 offer additional included modules, more supported platforms, and faster program development. Various modules have been extended and adapted to the current versions of the CiA standards. This applies in particular to CiA 304 (safety), CiA 301 version 4.2 and CiA 307 (flying master and redundancy). With this version, the Misra C 2004 compatibility of the library has been improved. The library has been optimized for processing speed down. In particular, working with the object directory has been made easier. The CANopen library supports (as did the previous version) over 100 different micro-controller/CAN controller and CAN platforms.
The CANopen Design Tool 2.3.0 is for the development of CANopen applications (devices). The mentioned library version is fully supported. The object dictionary as source code can be generated along with the device EDS file using prepared device profiles. CiA 301 and CiA 302 network communication profiles are included.
