New Holland Agriculture and precision farming aftermarket brand Agxtend has won innovation awards at this year’s Agritechnica 2019 tradeshow.
The awards, conferred by a committee of experts appointed by the DLG German Agricultural Society, recognize leading technologies and new developments in the agricultural equipment and machinery sector. CNH Industrial global agricultural brand New Holland, was awarded three silver medals for innovations in harvesting and baling operations while the company’s aftermarket brand, Agxtend won silver for its Isomax concept.
The Isomax solution is a hardware and software interface compliant with ISO 11783 series, also known as Isobus. All hardware components are AEF (Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation) certified, all software is open source, and the system is compatible with all brands. System features include automatic implement recognition to facilitate operation.
New Holland’s driveline concept for its Bigbaler received a silver medal in recognition of its two-speed powershift start-up technology which delivers baler engagement. The second silver medal was awarded for innovations the company has made to further enhance the performance of its CX combine harvester range’s four-drum threshing system. The Ultra-Flow staggered drum design achieves crop flow resulting in higher capacity, reduced blockages, and less in-cab noise thereby improving operator comfort. Silver medal recognition was also awarded to New Holland’s ‘Baler Mode’ on the Brand’s T7 tractor range. This technology reduces the pitching motion of the tractor cab when working with large square balers, as the tractor automatically recognizes when the baler is attached and activates ‘Baler Mode’. This acts on the tractor’s front axle suspension – modifying stiffness in line with bale compression – reducing cab movement by up to 15 % in the process.
Precision farming aftermarket brand
CNH Industrial has established Agxtend, an aftermarket brand focused on precision farming technology solutions. The company provides customers of CNH Industrial’s agricultural brands, Case IH, Steyr, and New Holland Agriculture, as well as those of competitor companies, access to precision farming technologies, which will be of benefit throughout the entire cropping cycle. Agxtend supports especially Isobus solutions. This CAN-based communication system is internationally standardized in the ISO 11783 series and is the base of many precision farming solutions. The offered products can be integrated into Case IH’s AFS, Steyr’s S-Tech and New Holland Agriculture’s PLM existing precision farming platforms. Additionally, a range of competitor tractors, harvesting equipment, and implements will be able to use these products.
