Emtrion (Germany) has announced to support the real-time QNX operating system for its Dimm-MX53 embedded PC. The related BSP (board support package) software supports also the two CAN interfaces.
THE EMBEDDED PC IS BASED ON THE i.MX53 micro-controller by Freescale, which is the 1-GHz Cortex processor. The BSP is suitable for the QNX operation system version 6.5. It comes in binary code or source code. The software can be bundled with the developer kit. The kit includes the embedded controller hardware, a TFT display, the QNX Momentics evaluation software, and the related BSP. In addition, a graphical interface with Photon or Qt is provided.
The company offering a broad range of embedded control units also supports Linux and Windows CE as operating systems. All CAN host interfaces are available with up to four ports. For the offered PCI-104, PC/104, and CPCI boards QNX packages are supplied.
