Update of CAN analyzing tool

At the Embedded World 2016, Schleissheimer (Germany) shows a preview of CanEasy 5.0. It comes with an XCP interface and customizable graphic panels.

THE ANALYSIS AND TESTING ENVIRONMENT for CAN and LIN supports the calibration protocol XCP and offers graphical control panels. CanEasy 5.0 is set to be released in Q3/Q4 2016. The fair booth of Schleissheimer is located in hall 4 at stand 204 at the Embedded World 2016. The exhibition takes place in Nuremberg, Germany from February 23 to 25.

"CanEasy 5.0 will deliver a lot of functional enhancements – among other things, ECU variable access during simulation via XCP", said Hans-Joachim Schleissheimer, CEO of Schleissheimer. "In addition, the software is getting easier to use and more intuitive: With the new rich panels, users can assemble beautiful and sophisticated graphical control panels – without any coding."

The update will also introduce rich panels, further improving the usability of the software. Via drag-and-drop editing, users can create their own graphical panels in a design environment and then assign them to bus signals. Users can then monitor and control their CAN simulations using their own intuitive interface.

The XCP interface gives users read and write access to internal ECU variables. That way, developers and test engineers can trigger different conditions and test ECU behavior in specific situations. The tool records this data as well as other data like CAN network traffic using a uniform time base.
