CAN and LIN oscilloscopes

Beside others, Rohde & Schwarz presents its oscilloscope series’ R&S RTC1000 to the general public at Embedded World 2018. It comes with CAN and LIN support.

The oscilloscope can be upgraded with numerous additional functions. This can be a eight-channel logic analyzer, a four-channel pattern generator, a digital voltmeter, a component tester, a spectrum analyzer, a counter, and a protocol analyzer for CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI, and UART/EIA-232. Users can expand the bandwidth from 50 MHz to a maximum of 300 MHz via software license. It comes with eight optional, retrofittable digital channels.

The R&S Scope Rider is suitable for power electronics measurements in the field. Since the insulated handheld oscilloscope meets measurement category CAT IV requirements, it can be used to perform measurements up to 600 V at the source of low voltage installations. Various functions can be added, such as a harmonic analyzer for power supply quality. It features a CAN/LIN trigger and decode option for users in the automotive industry.

These and more products from Rohde & Schwarz portfolio of oscilloscope and T&M (time and materials) equipment will be on display from February 27 to March 1, 2018 at the exhibition in Nuremberg (Germany) hall 4, booth 218.
