Vector (Germany) has released its CANalyzer 8.1 facilitates the CAN FD protocol. The tool also features Autosar 4.0 and MDF4 format support.
THE CAN INTERFACE OF THE BUS ANALYZING TOOL comprises Vector's own FPGA implementation of the CAN FD protocol. It is capable of managing frames with payloads up to 64 byte. Additionally, the CANdb++ editor supports 64 byte. Both logging formats - ASCII as well as BLF - are compatible with the improved CAN protocol. The tool supplier has added CAPL selectors for the additional bits (FDF = FD format, BRS = bit-rate switch, and ESI = error state indicator). In the tool's trace window columns for BRS and ESI are shown. The next 1-hour webinar on the CANalyzer 8.1 is scheduled on June 19, 2013 (9:00 CET).
