Windows-based mobile data-logger for automotive and industrial use

Ipetronik (Germany) introduced its new Winlog Windows-based mobile data acquisition system based on Kontron's Microspace MPCX28R unit.

THE DATA-LOGGER CONSISTS of a compact PC and the Ipemotion software. The package can be completed with additional components to meet specific requirements. The DAQ application software runs on all Windows 7 operating systems on the rugged PC hardware, thus facilitating mobile data acquisition through the company's CAN bus modules (M-, SIM-series), Xbus modules (Mx-, Sx-Series), or via external hardware using the respective plug-in. The device further features a fanless PC board with a 1,6 GHz Intel AtomTM Z530 processor, an IP52-rated aluminum housing, two CAN high speed interfaces (ISO 11898-2), USB, Ethernet, WiFi and four DC-isolated digital in- and outputs. The operating temperature fanges from −25 °C to +70 °C.
The combination of Ipetronik DAQ and PC hardware with Ipemotion software for measurement, analysis and automation offers advantages such as including online calculation, FFT (fast fourier transformation) and safe data storage at sample rates up to 40 kHz. A standard display (DVI-D) and common touchpad may also be used for flexible data visualization. The data-logger is designed for automotive in-vehicle use and industrial applications.
